  1. Switch the bulb on at the wall.
  2. On your phone, join the WiFi printed on the bulb, such as Brandnew-7C2A91. There is no password.
  3. Open 192.168.4.1 in your browser. The controls are on that page.

Because there is no password, anyone within WiFi range can switch the bulb. When you are done, rejoin your home WiFi.

We have not seen a real unit yet. The drawing follows the listing's size.

We have a price from the factory's public listing, read on 5 Oct 2026: SA6018121 by Zhongshan SunyeTech Co., Ltd, USD 4.69 a bulb for 100 bulbs. We have not asked for a written quote, and nothing is ordered.

From 1 Jan 2027 a BEE label needs at least 1,260 lm from a 12 W bulb. The listing does not say how much light this one gives, so we do not know yet if it can pass.

Bulbs from the first print would be held, not sold, until then.

Anyone may make it.

The fee is 4.2% of the print run's production cost, tax excluded. No exclusivity: paying it does not stop anyone else from making the bulb too.

Brandnew has no payment account. If anyone asks you to pay Brandnew, it is not us.
